The projects completed in 2013 have enabled us to create photo reports for a “full size” display on our new Internet site!
All the photos are available on an image bank with restricted access for journalists. The press kit can also be sent out on request.
The Opensun® 180 and 180 C have very detailed technical pages, with a precise description of the materials and design principles that meet the highest levels of performance required by their high-end positioning targeted by the teams from Opensun® and AKENA Vérandas.
Architects wishing to incorporate the design into their projects can benefit from assistance from a dedicated, specialised team in order to validate the technical aspects and administrative procedures, as well as producing computer-generated 3-D images.
Opensun® required several years of technical development to achieve a final top of the range product that meets the demanding requirements of its customer base.
2013 saw the delivery of several Opensun® projects in France. Both the architects behind the projects and, above all, the customers who are now enjoying these exceptional living areas, are singing the praises of the design and outstanding quality of the product.
The success of the Opensun® 180 has been the incentive for expanding the range and developing the Opensun® 180 C.
Opensun® is now a major growth area for AKENA in the top of the range conservatory market. Dedicated manager Laurent Bouineau is in charge of marketing the conservatories in France.
In a parallel move, the teams at Opensun® are looking abroad, with highly encouraging prospects in the United States and the Middle East.
Opensun® is a totally original design for circular-opening panoramic conservatories created by the mind of designer Renaud de Laporte.
The company was founded in 2005, with its first objective being to validate the technical and economic viability of the project by producing a first prototype. This development phase lasted two years, up until the end of 2007.
In 2008, to move on to the manufacturing and sales development phase, Opensun® approached the leading French conservatory company AKENA, signing a partnership in the form of a patient licence.
Enthusiastic about this project, AKENA became further involved by dedicating its technical teams to the final design of the Opensun® 180, bringing all the expertise of the no.1 French manufacturer.
After 3 further years of development / design, the first Opensun® projects got underway in 2011, as part of building projects or home extensions supervised by architects.
At the end of 2012, and especially in 2013, the first Opensun® living areas were installed.
